- W3016421985 abstract "Present work deals with aqueous solution, glycol mediated (polyol and solvothermal) synthesis routes of Bi2Te3 nano-sticks. The solvothermal route shows efficient growth of Bi2Te3 nano-sticks with more uniformity in the shape. The nano-stick like morphology was confirmed from SEM and TEM investigations. The critical dimension (width and length) of individual nano-sticks synthesized via solvothermal route is in the range 20 nm and 200 nm respectively and the lower diameter of nanosticks resulted in the enhanced electrical conductivity due to the formation of dense network of nanosticks which provide more pathways for the transport of electrons. The Bi2Te3 sample prepared via solvothermal route delivers the maximum power factor of 2.21 μW/cmK2 which is 35% greater than that of the samples synthesized via a simple polyol method. The dielectric properties (dielectric constant and dielectric loss) of both the Bi2Te3 samples have also been measured." @default.
