- W3017225712 abstract "It is indeed vital for software development industry to increase the success rate of projects and productivity as well. However, several studies have reported that software projects which is the core of a software development industry are suffering from a high rate of failure or deficiency in productivity. It is well known that developers and any related factors are the main players in ensuring successful of projects and understanding the factors that contributed towards developers' engagement and participations that will further lead to productivity. Therefore, the main aim of this research is to conduct a review in identifying the most critical factors of engaging developers and increasing productivity of software projects. Here, the human behaviour in workplace related tasks need to be investigated, hence theories of workplace and human engagement is reviewed even in the domain of software development industry. Initial review results showed that the proposed framework or model comprised of sixteen potential variables that could be allocated into four groups namely organisational, development environment, personal and group characteristics, and process and project characteristics. This framework will further be used in developing quantitative and qualitative analysis for identifying the perception of software developers specifically in Libya." @default.
