- W3017699204 abstract "Wrist pulse signal is important in determining the health status of an individual as it contains the pathological information related to human body. Nadi parikshan or pulse examination is done to obtain the energies (doshas) that are present in every human being. The energies are named as Vata, Pitta and Kapha which are collectively called as bio-elements or Tridosha. Person's physical constitution (Prakruti) is decided by Vata, Pitta and Kapha which occur in unique combination in every individual. The balance between Vata, Pitta and Kapha influence the physiological features of the individual as body weight, body size, eyes, texture and color of hair and skin. This research is intended to find the dominance of the energy based on the body weight of an individual and associated features. In this research, two groups of BMI are considered viz non-obese group ( $text{BMI} ), obese ( $text{BMI} > 25$ ). The Data is collected with the help of pulse sensor interfaced with ATMEGA328 microcontroller and features are extracted using the signal processing techniques in MATLAB. It is found that Kapha Rate is high in obese group and small variation in Pitta Rate is also observed for this group. Approximate Entropy and Sample Entropy of the obese group is less than the non-obese group while Augmentation Index of the obese group is more than the non-obese group." @default.
