- W3020202064 abstract "AbstractControl Rod Reactivity Analysis of One Stuck Rod Condition in 10 MWth Experimental Reactor Design (RDE-10 MWth) on First Full Core has been done. One of the accidents that may occur in the reactor core is the possibility of congestion conditions control rod (stuck rod) one or any and all parts of the reactor control rods that result cannot be controlled or extinguished due to the decrease of core reactivity values. Therefore, the aim of research is to get the values of reactivity control rods for the condition of one stuck rod at different heights so that the values are a source of information for the design of RDE 10 MWth. In this study first performed the first full-core condition simulation on the RDE reactor with the ratio F:M=52:48, using the MCNP6 program package. Furthermore, simulation and analysis of multiplication factors (keff) and reactivity of the control rods in one stuck rod and non stuck rod conditions are performed. The simulation is done using MCNP6 program package while for visualization is used VisEd program package. The simulation results show the ratio of F:M=52:48, the relation of the depth of the control rod insertion to the multiplication factor in the stuck rod control condition of one stuck rod and non stuck rod has an S chart pattern. In the condition of one stuck rod obtained negative reactivity worth that is equal to -0.06, a sequence of keff value is 1.05. For non stuck rod conditions where full control rods entirely result in negative reactivity, ie -0.14 with a keff value of 0.98. In order for one stuck rod to obtain multiplication value <1, several alternatives can be done: increase the B4C density, increase the diameter of the control rod or reduce the number of pebble moderators." @default.
