- W3020236033 abstract "This report presents the synthesis and characterization of Schiff base, H2L = 2-{[(E)-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)methylidene]amino}-2-methylpropanoic acid and its di- and triorganotin (IV) complexes (Bu2SnL…(1), Oc2SnL…(2), Bu3SnL…(3)). Two different methods i.e. conventional and microwave method were used for the preparation of Schiff base ligand and its corresponding organotin complexes and the comparison between these two methods shows that the microwave method is superior to the conventional method with respect of reaction time and yield of the products. The synthesized Schiff base and its organotin complexes were fully characterized by elemental analysis and different characterization methods i.e. FTIR, multinuclear (1H, 13C, 119Sn) NMR and UV–Vis. Tridentate nature of Schiff base was confirmed from the chemical shifts observed in the 119Sn NMR of complexes which was also supported from the fully optimized geometry obtained from DFT calculations using Gaussian 09 software. Optical response of prepared complexes was investigated theoretically by Non linear Optical (NLO) properties. Ligand and its two complexes (1 and 2) were screened for their in-vitro cytotoxicity against MCF-7 breast cancer cell line. From IC50 values, it was revealed that upon complexation anticancer activity of ligand was enhanced. Out of the two complexes, dibutyl tin complex showed promising cycotoxicity activity. Molecular docking was also performed to check the binding specificity of the complexes with two different proteins i.e. Tyrosine kinase domain (PDB ID: 1 M14) and human Arginase (PDB ID: 4IXV). The importance of present work was to explore the biological activity and other some important physiochemical activities. For biological activity, anticancer and molecular docking was done and for physiochemical activities theoretical calculations were employed." @default.
