- W3020942017 abstract "Abstract Recent progress in linear and cyclic amyloses produced in vitro using enzymatic reactions is reviewed. This new class of amyloses contributes to understanding the differences in the basic conformational and physical properties of these topological isomers in solutions. Their characteristic properties, such as the formation of transparent films from stable aqueous solutions of linear amylose and the formation of inclusion complexes of cyclic amylose with surfactants, are extraordinarily interesting and go beyond the properties of related natural polymers. Based on these properties, examples of their potential use in two new industrial applications, polarized films using linear amylose and an artificial protein refolding chaperones using cyclic amylose are shown. Both these amyloses are now commercially available." @default.
