- W3024463521 abstract "A hadith has two independent portions. The first is called its chain (sanad/سند ) of the narrators via whom the text has reached the muhaddith who has collected it and recorded in his book called a collection of Ahadith. The second portion is called the text (matn/متن).The chain mentions the mode and manner of transmission i.e. whether the narrator had been narrated or in formed by some one or he had heard it himself. The words used by the transmitter are haddathana or akhbarana or sami`na if in the session the narrator was not exclusively narrated or informed by the upper narrator in the chain and there were other persons apart from him present and listening or taking note of the narration by the Shaykh. To make the narrator fully identified his name, his father’s name, his surname, his place of domicile are mentioned. Full effort is made to remove all ambiguities and confusions in this behalf. The text mentions the exact words of the text. Those who permit riwayat is bi’l-ma`na they impose certain conditions:• Where any riwayat is to be transmitted bi’l-ma`na ,which is rare, the rawi must be a truthful scholar of knowing the correct meaning and objects of the actual textual word; and• The rawi must be knowing the impact of any change of words. • This permission was under necessity when the narrator is narrating from his memory and could not recollect one or two words and mentions their meaning or sense. After narrating he must say: Au kama qala, Nahwahu, Shibhahu (or as he said, or like that or resembling that). Now the hadith Books are printed one and there has remained no such necessity. Ibtida’ al-Sanad/ابتداء السند is a term of Science of hadith. A hadith is the record of the saying (qaul/قول), deed (fi`l/فعل) or tacit approval (taqrir/تقریر) of the Holy Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) collected by the Muhaddithin, in their respective collections and thus preserved the most valuable knowledge for the Ummah Muslimah in particular and for the whole mankind in general and thus did a great service to the humanity. May Allah Almighty bless them all and reward him in the hereafter many fold (Amin). They use many terms in this science. One such term is called: Ibtida’ al-Sanad/ابتداء السند. It means the point of narration which starts or begins from the side of the narrator. It goes upward and the last rawi is called the Intiha’ al-Sanad/انتہاء السند or Akhir al-Sanad/آخر السند.When a chain comes down from the Holy Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) side via a Sahabi, Tabi`, Tabu` tabi`i and Tabu` tab`i tabi` then it is called Asl al-Sanad/اصل السند , Mansha` al-Sanad/منشأ السند." @default.
