A comparative analysis shows a significant gap between Russia and world leaders in terms of GDP per capita. The paper discusses scientific approaches that justify the various ways of modernizing the Russian economy. The authors highlight the main factor of its support—innovative motivation, the main carrier of which is a person. The paper also analyzes dynamics of individual indicators capturing the development of the production sphere, innovative components of the Russian economy, and labor productivity indicators. The analysis shows the need to take into account the human factor and increase the level of innovative motivation. The proposed evaluation methodology will allow creating an informational basis for making managerial decisions at micro and macro levels of socio-economic systems." @default.
