- W3025225805 abstract "The hot deformation behavior and microstructural evolution of Ti-22Al-24Nb-0.5Mo alloy were investigated by compression test in the temperature range of 930 °C to 1050 °C and strain rate range of 0.001–1 s−1. In response to temperature and strain rate, the flow stresses of true stress-strain curves increased with the decrease of temperature and increase of strain rate and multiple yielding phenomena are observed at strain rates >0.1 s−1. The apparent activation energies in the low temperature (α2 + B2 + O) and high temperature (α2 + B2) phase regions are estimated to be 700 kJ/mol and 417 kJ/mol, respectively. There are three suitable domains for hot working in processing map, in which the alloy has fine grains and continuous dynamic recrystallization accompanying by the globularization of O phase. In two instability domains, discontinuous dynamic recrystallization and strong interactions of secondary phases and dislocations occurred. This short-term imbalance between dynamic softening and work hardening is responsible for the multiple yielding behavior." @default.
