The SARS-CoV-2 virus at the origin of the current COVID-19 pandemic is causing acute respi-ratory disorders that may lead to hospitalization, mainly in the elderly. The case presented is that of an old age patient with severe lung disease. Daily motor assessments over 1 week included Timed up and go test, the Five sit-to-stand test, the grip test and the collection of cardiorespiratory constants (heart rate, respiratory rate and 02 saturation). A cognitive and quality of life assessments were performed. Between the initial and final evaluation, the time taken to complete the Timed Up and Go decreased by 4,9 s, the performance at the five sit-to-stand remained relatively stable, in a context of oxygen withdrawal, maintenance of saturation and an increase in respiratory rate. Despite a poor prognosis, the patient's respiratory improvement was accompanied by functional motor improvements. The relationship between motor and cardiorespiratory regulation is discussed." @default.
