- W3025404772 abstract "The present article deals with the study of the steel fiber self-compacting concrete (SFSCC) blended by three materials. The triple blending indicates replacement of cement by fly ash and condensed silica fume at the percentages of 20 and 10, respectively, in each mix. For better workability, like flowability and passing ability, superplasticizers and viscosity-modifying agents are mandatory. Workability tests which include T50cm, V-funnel and L-box tests are done as per directions of the European Federation of National Associations Representing for Concrete (EFFNARC) []. In SFSCC, steel fiber percentage as well as its aspect ratio should be chosen in such a way that no interference is caused to the flow of concrete. Percentage of steel fiber in terms of percentage varied in four variables from 0.2 to 0.8 at the interval of 0.2. For each combination, aspect ratios of 20, 30 and 40 have been adopted. The results of mechanical properties which include the compressive strength and elastic properties like the Young’s modulus and Poisson’s ratios were compared. Regression analysis is adopted for the results. The best fit mathematical models are derived. The present experimental investigation is aimed to use steel fibers in SCC to obtain optimum properties of compressive strength and elastic modulus." @default.
