• W3028610823 abstract "ObjectiveTo study the clinical efficacy of permanent implantation of radioactive particles I125 combined with external radiation in the treatment of bone metastatic prostate cancer.MethodsA retrospective study of 37 patients with advanced prostate cancer who were treated at the Xuzhou Central Hospital from January 2016 to December 2017 was carried out. The patients were divided into two groups according to the treatment plan: radiation therapy group and endocrine therapy group. The baseline data of age, sex, Gleason score, PSA, B-ultrasound prostate volume, ECT bone scan metastases, metastasis symptoms, urinary retention symptoms, hematuria, and IPSS score were compared between the two groups of patients; After the IPSS score and the differences in PSA values at 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, and 6 months after surgery, the time for spontaneous urination of the urinary retention patients in the two groups was compared; the number of implanted particles, operation time, and particles in the particle implantation group were compared. The number of shifts and postoperative hospital stay days were statistically described.ResultsThere was no statistical difference in baseline data between age, gender, Gleason score, PSA, prostate volume, ECT bone scan metastases, metastasis symptoms, urinary retention symptoms, hematuria, and IPSS scores. There was no significant difference in IPSS scores and postoperative PSA values at 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, and 6 months between the two groups (P>0.05). There was no statistical difference in the time of spontaneous voiding between the two groups of urinary retention patients. The number of implanted particles in the implanted group was (87.23±17.71), operation time was (84.85±18.27)min, and postoperative hospital stay was (5.15±1.21) days.ConclusionsThe use of permanent radioactive seeds implanted in the prostate three-dimensional conformal internal radiation radiotherapy is an effective, minimally invasive method for the treatment of advanced bone cancer metastatic prostate cancer.Key words: Prostate cancer; Bone metastasis; I125 radioactive particle implantation; Endocrine therapy; Radiotherapy" @default.
