- W3028643817 abstract "Objective To investigate the clinical effect of the comprehensive nurse intervention during gastroscopy.Methods Six hundred and eighty -nine cases of first -time gastroscope patients were randomly divided into observation group (345 cases) and control group (344 cases).The observation group was given comprehensive nurse intervention,included the intervention measures before,during and after the examinations.The control group underwent the usual examining procedures.Results Statistically meaningful differences could be found in factors of the cases of nausea,the number of once - successful insertion,the grading of tension and fear of the patient,the time needed for the front end of the gastroscope to reach the falling section of the duodenum and the papilla section,and the cases of sore throat,stomach ache and abdominal distension.The observation group has advantage over the control group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Positive comprehensive nurse intervention could effectively reduce the chances of stress reactions both physically and psychologically in the patients.Such intervention has practical significance in eliminating the patients' stress and fear,improving the rate of once -successful insertion,reducing nausea,sore throat,stomachache,and abdominal distension,as well as shortening the examination time.Key words: Gastroscopy; Physical stress; Psychological stress; Nurse intervention" @default.
