- W3028952334 abstract "ObjectiveTo explore the clinical significance of detection of respiratory disease viruses in children in Conghua.Methods50 children infected by respiratory disease viruses and diagnosed and treated at our hospital from January, 2015 to January, 2018 were selected as an experimental group, and 50 healthy children during the same period a control group. The serum levels of calcitonin original (PCT) and hypersensitive c-reactive protein (hs-CRP) were detected. The levels of PCT and hs-CRP in the control group and in the experimental group before and after the treatment were observed. The various respiratory viruses in nasopharyngeal secretion were detected, and the viral pathogen positive detection rate was summarized.ResultsThe serum levels of PCT and hs-CRP were higher in the experimental group than in the control group [(11.68±3.59) ng/ml vs. (0.32±0.18) ng/ml and (43.67±10.68) mg/L vs. (2.13±1.02) mg/L; t=6.27 and 7.70, both P<0.05]. After treatment for 3, 6, and 10 days, the PCT (r= -0.753, P<0.05) and hs-crp (r= -0.757, P<0.05) negatively correlated with the disease improvement rate in the experimental group. The positive detection rates of rhinovirus, coronavirus, enterovirus, adenovirus, and influenza virus in the experimental group were 12.00%, 10.00%, 20.00%, 36.00%, and 22.00%, respectively.ConclusionThe detection of pathogens and serum levels of PCT and hs-CRP can guide the diagnosis and treatment of children infected by respiratory disease viruses, and provide effective basis for the clinical diagnosis and treatment, so it is worth for clinical promotion and application.Key words: Respiratory diseases; Viruses; Procalcitonin; Hypersensitive c-reactive protein" @default.
