- W3028966751 abstract "ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between prolactin level and the lesions range, nipple level and prolactin level and relapse of plasma cell mastitis.MethodSixty patients with plasma cell mastitis from December 2013 to December 2016 in the First People’s Hospital of Yangquan were selected. All of the patients underwent incision or drainage. The range of lesion, the degree of nipple retraction and the difference of prolactin levels were compared before and after treatment. The relationship between the recurrence of plasma cell mastitis and the menstrual status, the range of lesions, the degree of nipple depression and the level of prolactin was analyzed.ResultAll of the 60 patients were successfully treated and followed up for 1 year. ①The level of prolactin was not related to the lesion size of papilla mastitis and the degree of nipple depression (χ2=0.68, P=0.92; χ2=1.65, P=0.98). ②After treatment, the prolactin level decreased significantly (t=5.21, P<0.01), and the prolactin levels tended to be normal (χ2=8.12, P<0.01). ③According to single factor analysis, prolactin level was a risk factor for relapse of plasma cell mastitis(χ2=8.12, P<0.01). ④Prolactin level was an independent risk factor for recurrence of plasma cell mastitis (OR=2.05, 95%CI: 1.29, 3.27, P<0.01).ConclusionsProlactin level is significantly decreased after plasma cell mastitis is treated by incision, drainage or extended resection. Increased prolactin may be an important cause of relapse of plasma cell mastitis, and it is an independent risk factor.Key words: Plasma cell mastitis; Prolactin level; Recurrence factors; Correlation" @default.
