- W3029289037 abstract "ObjectiveTo understand the immune status of healthy population in Deyang city, so as to provide scientific basis for the prevention and control of vaccines preventable diseases, e.g. measles, rubella, mumps, pertussis and diphtheria.MethodsIn 2012 and 2016, stratified random sampling was used to collect subjects from 7 age groups (<1, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-14, 15-19 and ≥20 years old) in Deyang City. A total of 428 healthy people were tested by ELISA to determine the levels of serum IgG against measles, rubella, mumps, pertussis and diphtheria. The geometric mean concentrations (GMC) and the positive rates of protective antibodies were also calculated.ResultsOf the 428 study subjects, the levels of IgG against measles, rubella, mumps, pertussis and diphtheria were 78.74% (337/428), 64.95% (278/428), 65.65% (281/428), 27.34% (117/428) and 81.31% (348/428), respectively. The positive rate of measles protective antibody was 35.51% (152/428). The GMCs of the five diseases were 881.54 mIU/mL, 97.62 IU/mL, 456.70 U/mL, 34.70 IU/mL and 2.15 IU/mL, respectively. The positive rate of measles IgG was the lowest in the <1 year-old group (49.15%, 29/59). The positive rate of rubella IgG was the lowest in <1 year-old group (40.68%, 24/59). The group with the lowest mumps IgG was <1 year-old group (33.90%, 20/59). The positive rate of pertussis IgG was the lowest in 1-2 years old group (13.33%, 8/60). The positive rate of diphtheria IgG was the lowest in the ≥20-year-old group (66.67%, 46/69). GMCs of antibodies against measles, rubella, and mumps were the lowest in the <1 year-old group (627.70 mIU/mL, 57.58 IU/mL, 166.87 U/mL, respectively). The GMC of pertussis antibody at 3-4 year-old group was the lowest (22.18 IU/mL) while GMC of diphtheria antibody in ≥ 20-year-old group was the lowest (0.11 IU/mL).ConclusionsThe levels of antibody against measles, rubella, mumps, pertussis and diphtheria in healthy population in Deyang City was relatively low. Timely vaccination of measles rubella vaccine should be strengthened for 8-months-old infants. The vaccination rate of mumps-containing vaccines and pertussis-containing vaccines for children at appropriate age should be increased, and the vaccination should be standardized to improve the immunization level of healthy people.Key words: Vaccines; Antibody formation; Immunity; Cross-sectional studies" @default.
