- W3029314650 abstract "Objective To investigate the expression of LAMA-3 in gastric cancer tissue and its correlation with the clinicopathological factors of gastric cancer.Methods A tissue microarray was created and immunohistochemistry was used to dected the LAMA-3 expression in 100 cases of gastric cancer.SPSS software was used to analyze the results.Methods The expression of LAMA-3 in the gastric cancer tissue was lower than that in the normal gastric mucosa tissue [(63 ± 18)％ vs.(81 ± 27)％,P ＜ 0.05].The expression level of LAMA-3 in the gastric cancer tissue had no correlation with the pathological stage,however,the expression of LAMA-3 was significantly lower in the patients with lymph node metastasis than in those negative for the lymph node metastasis [(65 ± 28) ％ vs.(75 ± 26) ％,P ＜ 0.05].The expression of LAMA-3 also had no correlation with the continuous variables such as ages or tumor size (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion LAMA-3 might be a candidate tumor suppressor gene in the gastric cancer.Detection of LAMA-3 can have a role in estimating the biological behaviors and prognosis of the gastric cancer patients.Key words: Gastric cancer; LAMA-3; Tissue microarray; Tumor suppressor gene" @default.
