- W3029561259 abstract "Objective To investigate the value of ultrasound,X-ray,and nuclear magnetic resonance imaging in preoperative diagnosis of plasma cell mastitis(PCM).Methods 53 patients with PCM confirmed by operation and pathology were retrospectively analyzed.Their preoperative varied imaging data and postoperative pathological results were compared to analyze the effectiveness of these 3 kinds of imaging methods and their guiding value for diagnosis and surgical treatment of PCM.Results All of the 53 cases diagnosed as PCM were confirmed by pathological results.3 cases were diagnosed by mammography,15 cases were diagnosed by ultrasound and 17 cases were diagnosed by MRI,with the accuracy rate of 16.67％,28.30％,and 53.12％ respectively.Finally,35 cases were diagnosed combining with the clinical data and these 3 kinds of examination,with the diagnostic accuracy rate of 66.04％,which was significantly improved.Conclusions It is difficult to diagnose the early PCM only depending on clinical symptoms and signs.Preoperative cross examination of multiple imaging methods can significantly increase the accuracy rate and help to reduce the recurrence rate of PCM.Key words: Nuclear magnetic resonance; X ray; Ultrasound ; Plasma cell mastitis" @default.
