- W3030176815 abstract "Objective To investigate the therapeutic role of esomeprazole in treatment of peptic ulcer with hemorrhage.Methods Forty-three patients with peptic ulcer and hemorrhage were randomly divided into treatment group (n =22) and control group (n =21).The treatment group was treated with intravenously 80 mg esomeprazole followed by a maintenance dosage of 8 mg/h intravenously drip for 72 hours.The control group was treated with an intervenous injection of esomeprazole with a dose of 40 mg per 12 hours.Results The total effective rate was 95.5％ in treatment group and 66.7％ in control group,respectively.There was significant difference betwee the two groups (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions A higher-dose of esomeprazole is effective and safe in treating patients with peptic ulcer with hemorrhage.Key words: Peptic ulcer; Hemorrhage; Esomeprazole" @default.
