- W3031655092 abstract "Digital technology continues to radically transform the world of business. Companies that are only five or ten years from the date of foundation, introduce digital technologies for the production and delivery of goods and services in innovative ways that more effectively than before, meet the needs of customers. In many cases, they destroy the structure of industries, capturing market leadership from companies that have dominated the market for generations. Existing competitors in many sectors will either cope with this digital problem, or they will face decline and, possibly, collapse. The benefits of the digital revolution to customers are clear. The way we make purchases, send payments and borrow money, communicate with each other and have fun has changed radically. At the workplace, an increasing number of simple and complex tasks - from moving boxes to rescue medical procedures - are now partially or fully performed by intelligent machines. All this suggests that the fourth industrial revolution is already underway. In this regard, many questions immediately arise: how does this affect basic economic indicators, and how will it affect employment? This study aimed to determine what role the 4th industrial revolution plays in the growth of labor productivity. Considering that the sustainable development of the economy is associated not only with the progress of industry 4.0, but also with the improvement of the labor market, where new jobs, professions and personnel are created. To study the dynamics of the labour productivity index, the statistical methods of the Excel package were used. To assess the current situation, a comparative method was used. Technological changes taking place at present, in the authors' opinion, require a revision of the very concept of labour productivity, with the aim to most accurately determine the role of man and technology separately." @default.
