- W3031960535 abstract "Objective To observe the application and outcome of iodized oil visualization in individualizing therapy of chronic dacrocystitis. Methods Seventy-eight cases(90 eyes)with chronic dacrocystitis underwent iodized oil visualization before operations. The form of dacryocyst was observed, and different therapy methods were selected according to it. Fifty cases (59 eyes) whose diameter of dacryocyst inferior .extremity was 3-6 mm received spherical headed silicon tube implantation were chosen for group A, 18 cases (20 eyes) more than that received dacryocystorhinostomy were chosen for group B, 10 cases(11 eyes)less than that received the YAG laser probing of lacrimal passage or other operation were chosen for group C. Results Following up was 7-24 months with an average of 8.70 month ,for the 59 eyes in groupA ,50 eyes were Cured ,7 eyes were improved, 1 eye had no effect, and 1 eye was failure, the effective rate was 96. 61%. For the 20 eyes in group B, 17 eyes were cured ,2 eyes were improved, and 1 eye had no effect. The effective rate was 95.00%. There were no statistically differences between group A and group B byx2 test(x2 =0. 573 ,P ＞0.05). For the 11 eyes in group C,6 eyes were cured ,2 eyes were improved, and 3 eye had no effect. The effective rate was 72. 73%. There were statistically differences between group A and group C by x2 test (x2 = 2. 843, P ＜ 0. 01). Conclusion The application of iodized oil visualization in individualizing therapy of chronic dacrocystitis is effective.Key words: Chronic dacryocystitis; Individualizing; Treatment" @default.
