- W3032029169 abstract "Objective To observe the effect of HCG on the expression of Bcl-2 mRNA and Bax mRNA in germ cells of children with cryptorchidism and to elucidate the relationship between apoptosis and the therapy of cryptorchidism.Methods Sixty boys with cryptorchidism were randomly divided into surgery group (30 cases) and HCG +surgery group (30 cases).Patients in surgery group only recieved operation,and patients in HCG tsugery group recieved HCG before operation.Bax and Bcl-2 mRNA levels were measured by RT-PCR.Results The levels of germ cells mRNA content of Bax increased,while Bcl-2 decreased in patients with HCG + surgery,comparing with the surgery group (P ＜0.05).Conclusions The shifting balance of Bax and Bcl-2 mRNA may be related to the apoptosis of germ cells after HCG treatment.Key words: HCG; Cryptorchidism; Bax; Bcl-2" @default.
