- W3032196166 abstract "Objective To explore the correlation between the career planning and professional self- identity of the undergraduate nursing students in the early stage of practice and thus to provide theoretical basis for improving their professional self-identity and giving career planning training to the undergraduate nursing students. Methods One hundred and fifty undergraduate nursing students were surveyed by the career planning questionnaires and professional self-identity questionnaires according to the random sampling and surveying method. Results One hundred and fifty questionnaires were issued and 144 questionnaires were responsive with an effective response rate of 96. 0%. The score of career planning from 144 undergraduate nursing students in the early stage of practice was （ 155.75 ± 23.71 ）, and the average score of items was （3.39 ±1.14）. The total score and each aspect score of career planning were positively correlated to the total score and each aspect score of professional self-identity （P 〈 O. 05 ）. Conclusions To strengthen the training and management of career planning to undergraduate nursing students can improve their professional self-identity, and to improve the professional self-identity can promote the undergraduate nursing students to make a better career planning.
