- W3032242884 abstract "Objective To study the effects of 14 clays of simulated weightlessness on γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) immunoreactivity in the cortex of lobule Ⅲ and Ⅳ of intermediate spinocerebellum and in the interposed eerebellar nucleus of rat. Methods Weightlessness was simulated by tail suspension of rats. By means of immunohistochemistry technique, changes of expression of GABA immunoreactivity in the cortex of lobule Ⅲ and Ⅳ of intermediate spinocerebellum and in the interposed cerebellar nucleus were detected both for the rats of 14-day tail suspension group (Hu) (n=10)and control group (Con) (n=10). Results The results showed that GABA immunoreactive neurons were found in three layers (molecular layer, Purkinje layer and Granular layer) in the cortex of lobule Ⅲ and Ⅳ of intermediate spinocerebellum and interposed cerebellar nucleus in Con and Hu. However, after 14 days of tail-suspension, the number of GABA immunoreactivitive neurons in molecular layer was obviously decreased from 23.00±4.36 to 17.00± 3.25 comparing with that of Con (t=3.488, P 0.05). Conclusions Our findings suggest that simulated weightlessness induces an obvious change in the activation of neuronal circuit in the lobule Ⅲ and Ⅳ of intermediate spinocerebellum and confirm further that the simulated weightlessness may result in muscle spindle afferent altered during central progressing.Key words: Weightlessness simulation; Spinal cord; Cerebellum; Creatine; γ-aminobutyric acid; Immunohistochemistry" @default.
