- W3034152009 abstract "The stability window of the rechargeable electrochemical batteries (EC) completely depends on the usage of the type of the electrolytes. During the Faradaic reaction process at the electrodes, the role of the electrolytes is not to allow any chemical reaction in the EC. Hence, the design of the better electrolytes depends on few factors like the stability window, the nature, temperature stable, unreactiveness, abundancy, non-hazardous, and cost-effectiveness. There are different types of electrolytes available for the EC application. Lithium nitrate, LiCl, and sodium salts are the aqueous electrolytes for ECs. Whereas lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) is one of the most well known non-aqueous electrolytes used in rechargeable ECs. Solid polymer electrolytes and gel polymer electrolytes are some polymer electrolytes. BF4−, PF6−, and TFSI− are some well-known anions for ionic electrolytes. Combining the effects of ionic-liquid electrolytes and hybrid electrolytes can be discussed in this chapter." @default.
