- W3035026827 abstract "This article considers studies of six-phase fault-tolerant synchronous generator with permanent magnets to be used on a low-pressure shaft of a gas turbine engine with a speed of 3000 rpm. The fault tolerance of this generator is achieved by the use of a six-phase tooth winding, in which the phase coils are not physically in contact with each other. The generator is cooled by air blowing. To confirm the reliability of the proposed solution, a multidisciplinary study is carried out, including mechanical, thermal and electromagnetic calculations, followed by verification by the finite element method in the Ansys and SolidWorks software systems. To confirm the effectiveness of proposed design and the calculations reliability, a scalable prototype power of 1.2 kW is developed. The convergence of the calculation results allows concluding that the obtained results are reliable for a 100 kW fault-tolerant generator." @default.
