The energies of both the outgoing protons have been measured in coincidence in a coplanar symmetric geometry with good energy and momentum resolution in order to separate the different excited states of the residual nuclei. The experimental data are presented in a form suitable for direct comparison with direct knockout theory (impulse approximation). The distorted wave impulse approximation model can explain the qualitative features of the energy sharing and angular correlation spectra.
