- W3039121251 abstract "Transparent wood has received much attention for construction applications due to its good mechanical properties, optical properties, and ideal thermal insulation. Since ultraviolet light is one of the most significant environmental stress agents for human skin, ultraviolet absorbing transparent wood composite will be highly desirable. Herein, ultraviolet absorbing photoluminescence wood composite was obtained by immersing wood templates into photoresponsive polymer. The injected substances were well polymerized in wood cell lumen, resulting in good dimensional stability, mechanical properties, and thermal stability. In addition, the sample displayed a good photoluminescence process, during which it could intercept and absorb high-intensity ultraviolet light. The unique properties of the ultraviolet absorbing photoluminescence wood composite could potentially be applied in building, furniture, windows, sensor, and security materials." @default.
