- W3042416251 abstract "The article covers and analyzes the latest studios of Ukrainian historiography, devoted to the study of the influence of cultural and historical traumas on the formation of Ukrainian national identity in the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries. Scientific research tools are represented by empirical (search-bibliographic and bibliometric methods), general scientific (description, explanation, analysis, synthesis, generalization) and special (historical-conceptual method, method of scientific-historical interpretation, hermeneutic method) methods that allow scientific understanding and scientific representation of accumulated historical knowledge about the place and role of cultural and historical trauma in the development of Ukrainian identity in the imperial period. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the first time in Russian historiographic knowledge, the state of illumination in the latest historical science of the problem of the development of Ukrainian national identity in the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries from the point of view of the West European methodology of cultural and historical trauma is considered. Conclusions. It has been established that in the newest Ukrainian historiography a significant array of scientific works has been devoted to the problem of the traumatic development of Ukrainian national identity in the imperial period. It was revealed that scientists attribute such socio-cultural and geopolitical phenomena as cultural and historical traumas to the Little Russian identity, the syndrome of double loyalty, the deepening of the inferiority complex, the artificial separation of Ukrainian lands in the political systems of the Russian and Austro-Hungarian empires, the fratricide and the separating blow of the First World War" @default.
