• W3043139284 abstract "Relevance of the article is conditioned by the problems of irregular socio-economic development of regions. This paper is focused on the formulation of an approach to emphasizing the factors of regional economic security and identifying the integrated index characterizing the economic security of an individual region. The achieved goal of the research is the proposed method of assessing the economic security of a region. The completed objectives of the research are the following: the study of content aspects of basic concepts was carried out; the hypothesis of emphasizing the factors, which determine the economic security at the regional level, was formulated; the integrated index of assessment of the economic security of a region was proposed. The research methods include: dialectics, comparison, structural and factor analysis, economic and mathematical modeling. The use of the dialectic method made it possible to study the objects, conformities and phenomena in their development and interrelation. The study was carried out in two complementary directions – the general-tospecific and the specific-to general directions. The national economic security was accepted as the general deductive concept, while the economic security of an individual region – as the specific one. With the logic techniques and economic-mathematical modeling methods, the integrated index was obtained, which allowed assessing the state and trend of the economic development and economic security of an individual region. The proposed models make it possible to assess the combined influence of the factors, which participate in values and public goods formation, on the index, which characterizes not only the complexity of the resource potential implementation, but the probability of risks during such interaction. The systematic assessment approach makes it possible to obtain the effective index serving as the indicator of actual and potential risks, with the simultaneous possibility to estimate the contribution of individual factors in the interaction process. The study results can serve as a tool to substantiate plans of the strategic development of a region, the implementation of which will ensure its economic security." @default.
