- W3044872008 abstract "The paper reports an evaluation of the effect of camel diet enriched with press cake and pulp from the Argane tree in the camel feed, and its effect on the subsequently produced milk. Following a chromatographic screening, the ANOVA test showed a significant difference in the fatty acid (FA) content depending on the diet management (P < 0.05). Monounsaturated FA (MUSAT) and polyunsaturated FA (FA) of the camel milk of the Argane Diet (AD) were higher than the control diet group (CD) (MUSAT: 46.163% vs 36.227%; PUSAT: 2.434% vs 2.248%). The diet treatment affected all the physicochemical parameters as well as the mineral content that showed very high significant change (p < 0.001). The Argane diet (AD) could be incorporated in camel diets replacing traditionally used control diet (CD) without substantial detrimental effects. Moreover, it could help producers to develop a quality approach of expanding camel milk consumption." @default.
