- W3046171054 abstract "The current knowledge society has placed science as a cross-cutting component for the fulfillment of the objectives of economic and social development (Casas, 2016), this description positions science as an operational or support dimension for the fulfillment of the strategic objectives of the countries. Consequently, most countries have developed extensive political arrangements to order and direct scientific creation in favor of different national projects, in this panorama the figure of science politics emerges. This argumentation puts in tension the theories of philosophy and sociology of the science of science that argue that science is an autonomous activity and the practices that control science are directed by science policies. This problematic situation allows us to ask the question: What are the tensions that science policy has generated in the creation of scientific knowledge? In order to explore the possible answers to this question, an exploration of the scientific creation of sociology and psychology in Colombia between the period 1989 and 2016 will be empirically sought. In the conclusions it is possible to interpret that psychology and sociology have become the extent to which science policy has developed control and incentive mechanisms, creating tensions between researchers and research groups, between research groups and universities, between researchers and science journals, all deteriorating quality the sciences and the critical capacity of researchers." @default.
