- W3048143285 abstract "The pandemic COVID-19 has affected 210 countries as per the sources of WHO. WMO has predicted the influence of weather conditions on the pandemic Covid-19. Meteorological factors have impacted on infectious diseases like SARS and Influenza [1] (Yueling Ma et al 2020). This study investigates the connectivity between the influence of atmospheric variables like temperature, humidity and the intensity of sun shine on the survival, transmission and the spread of the virus. Temperature and humidity are the important factors for the virus transmission A dry, cool environment is the most favorable state for the virus ( Roy Indrani, 9 April, 2020) The statistics of COVID-19 positive, recovery and death cases are collected from the website of Worldometer. Similarly, the atmospheric variables for the selected countries of Subtropical and Tropical regions are taken from the website of WMO. The work reviews the temperature variations and relative humidity of four months of 2020, namely January, February, March and April. The study further tries to observe if the low temperature facilitates COVID-19 to develop and similarly the high temperature to destroy the virus. Six countries from the Tropical region (warm), Subtropical and polar (cool) regions are selected for the study. The Tropical regions have high temperature and low humidity, the Subtropical and Polar Regions have low temperatures and high humidity. High temperature and low humidity has the possibility of making the virus inactive. The work reviews the relation between the atmospheric variables and the survival of COVID-19" @default.
