- W3083898082 abstract "Circadian (～24 h) clocks are self-sustained endogenous oscillators with which organisms keep track of daily and seasonal time. Circadian clocks rely on interlocked transcriptional-translational feedback loops to generate rhythms that are robust against intrinsic and extrinsic perturbations. The disruption of circadian rhythms increases the risk of getting various diseases such as insomnia, depression, cancer, and diabetes. In this talk, I will present how we used a systems pharmacology model to predict and experimentally validate the pharmacological manipulation of circadian rhythms in collaboration with Pfizer Inc. In particular, I will focus on how the model can be used to understand the complex dosing effect, which dramatically changes depending on dosing timings and environmental conditions. Finally, I will describe the potential use of the model for the personalized prescription." @default.
