- W309468564 abstract "Thermo-reflectance (TR) spectra are measured on EuO, EuS, EuSe and EuTe. A doublet structure observed in near U.V. region is ascribed to the Wannier exciton associated with the direct band edge, Г1c - Г15v. Splitting of this doublet at the ferromagnetic phase transition of EuS and EuO is interpreted as due to the spin splitting of these non-localized bands. Uniqueness of the TR measurements for the study of magnetic semiconductors is emphasized." @default.
