- W3095631285 abstract "Graphene has incomparable thermal, electrical, chemical, optical and mechanical properties which boost its applicability in various areas. As a result there is a huge demand for the manufacture of graphene which will increase more in the near future. There exists several methods for synthesis of graphene including top down and bottom up approaches. Moreover, among the various methods chemical reduction approach is highly efficient, simple and commonly used for the production of graphene in huge scale. Nonetheless, it makes use of harsh and noxious chemicals like hydrazine, sodium borohydride, etc. which is detrimental for both humans and the nature. Hence, an alternative path for the reduction procedure is required where green reducing agents come to play their role. In this review we have studied the synthesis of graphene using green agents mainly plant extracts and biomolecules. In addition, possible reaction mechanisms for reduction of graphene oxide such as with L-cysteine and ascorbic acid are discussed." @default.
