In this review, we have collected some approaches for the synthesis of (hetero)macrocycles from the viewpoint of green chemistry. Here, we describe mainly room temperature reactions, solvent-free reactions, microwave and ball milling reactions for the synthesis of practically relevant (hetero)macrocycles. In the synthesis of practically relevant macrocycles to improve public health, it is extremely important to minimize the impact of this process on health and nature by choosing non-toxic solvents and completely biodegradable. In this review, special importance has been given on the discussion of these “green” synthetic techniques adopted for the preparation of important (hetero)macrocycles." @default.
