- W3099330151 abstract "Introduction: Information technology plays vital role any sector, more importantly so in Healthcare Industry. In 2020, it has become clearer with unprecedented time and situation that work can carried out remotely, efficiently through Information technology. Healthcare is also driven by advanced hospital information systems lately. When considering a Healthcare Information Technology, it is utmost important to consider the vital elements of clinical, managerial, quality, patient safety, regulatory etc perspectives to derive value for the customers.Methodology: The research included the probability sampling methodology with simple random type for large healthcare group in the middle east. Sample size of 430 representing known population with excel generated nth number to randomize the study population. Five-point Likert scale was applied to questionnaire acquired from related research and modified through focus group discussions to fit the purpose. Further analysed by using EFA/theory building and CFA/theory testing with finally Structural Equation Modelling. Results: Out of 430 study samples which included 58% of clinical staffs and 42% nonclinical staffs, revealed that Information technology positively impacts the Quality and Patient Safety and clinical and management decisions. It also led to the fact that involvement of key people in the earlier stage of the implementation of Hospital information System is key to the success and providing value to the patients. Conclusion: The key word ―Value‖ (Porter, 2008) defined in his Virtuous circle that it should comprise of all integrated clinical or practice units with Faster innovation enabled by the Information Technology. In other paper (Porter & Lee, 2013) stressed upon the strategy which will fix health care as its specified healthcare providers must lead the ways in making value the overarching goal, value has again gained importance from the stakeholder perspective. (1Kane, Palmer, Philips Nguyen, Kiron, & Buckley, 2015) mention that a digitally maturing or progressed organization follows a clear and coherent digital strategy and effectively communicates it to employees, who are internal stakeholder to the company and yet again important role players." @default.
