This chapter will review the available selective-serotonin reuptake inhibitors (citalopram, escitalopram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine and sertraline) with respect to comparative pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, efficacy, common and uncommon side-effect profiles, and drug safety. Special considerations in pregnancy, lactation, children and adolescents are also noted. References1 Anderson IM , Ferrier IN , Baldwin RC et al.
