- W3105794734 abstract "The $ensuremath{gamma}$-ray spectrum accompanying the decay of 4.15-h $^{149}mathrm{Tb}^{g}$ has been studied by Ge(Li) singles and coincidence spectroscopy. Sources were prepared via the $^{141}mathrm{Pr}(^{12}mathrm{C}, 4n)$ reaction and via spallation of Ta with 800-MeV protons. Chemical and isotopic separation techniques were employed to obtain pure sources. A total of 325 $ensuremath{gamma}$ rays are attributed to the decay of $^{149}mathrm{Tb}^{g}$, all of which have been placed in a $^{149}mathrm{Gd}$ level scheme involving 80 excited states. The spin and parity of $^{149}mathrm{Tb}^{g}$ is postulated to be $frac{1}{{2}^{+}}$. The intensity of the direct ${ensuremath{beta}}^{+}$ + electron capture branch from $^{149}mathrm{Tb}^{g}$ to the $^{149}mathrm{Gd}$ ground state ($frac{7}{{2}^{ensuremath{-}}}$) is determined to be (0.5ifmmodepmelsetextpmfi{}5.0)%. The intensity of the $ensuremath{alpha}$-decay branch from $^{149}mathrm{Tb}^{g}$ to $^{145}mathrm{Eu}$ has been measured to be (15.8ifmmodepmelsetextpmfi{}1.4)%.
