- W3110411170 abstract "Microstructure evolves during different processes; and phase transformation is one of these processes. The importance of phase transformation in the microstructure formation causes that many analytical and numerical methods are applied for its modeling. The objective of present paper is further development of 2D hybrid model of diffusional phase transformations. Heat transfer and diffusion during the transformation are considering. The model is based on Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) and cellular automata (CA). Diffusion and heat flow are modeled by LBM, whereas the microstructure evolution by CA. The paper presents the modeling results of the growth of new phase that is determined by the differences of carbon concentration in the phases and overheating/overcooling considering the enthalpy of transformation. Examples of simulation results are presented in the form of images, graphs and distributions." @default.
