- W3111449082 abstract "In this paper, the effect of different process parameters on percentage thinning and restraining force using circular draw bead in deep drawing process are investigated. The investigation is carried out by using Taguchi optimization method, finite element simulations are performed by utilizing Hyperform software and L25 orthogonal array and the values of percentage thinning and restraining force are predicted by applying linear regression equations. The results are validated by performing confirmation tests. The obtained results show that, the percentage of thinning and restraining force are greatly influenced by height and radius of circular draw bead and from the results of optimization study it is observed that, the optimum process parameters selected in the present study considerably improve the output responses. The obtained results show that there is, 41.15% reduction of thinning and 65.13% reduction in draw bead restraining force during sheet forming and from the results of ANOVA study, it is observed that two responses are significantly influencing by the draw bead radius and draw bead height with a contribution of 43.6% and 41.78% respectively." @default.
