- W3112604080 abstract "Interaction of elongated steel cylindrical strikers with concrete barriers at a velocity of 1000 m/s is studied numerically. The problem is solved by the finite element method, in a three-dimensional formulation within the framework of the phenomenological approach to the mechanics of a deformable solid using the author's software package EFES. To describe the processes of deformation, fracture and cracking in concrete the JH-2 model was used, which makes it possible to take into account the large deformations, high strain rates and high pressures that occur in the material. The used calculation algorithm takes into account the formation of discontinuities in the material and the fragmentation of bodies with the formation of new free surfaces. The influence of the nutation angle on the fracture of the barrier and the behavior of the striker during penetration was investigated. It is shown that the presence of a nutation angle during the interaction of elongated strikers has a significant effect on the development of fracture in the target." @default.
