- W3113014512 abstract "Abstract The constructed wetland (CW) system is deliberately designed and created by leveraging a natural process in which the vegetation of wetlands, soil, and the microbial group associated in the wetlands to help the process of wastewater treatment. CW using plants with a certain tolerance and can absorb contaminants, usually macrophytes plants like aquatic plants. One of the recommendations to the selection of plants in the CW is local species in the region. In this chapter, the potential of purun tikus (Eleocharis dulcis (Burm. F.) Trin. ex Hensch) to restore the iron (Fe) contaminated acid mine drainage (AMD) by using CW, the ability of Purun tikus to absorb acids and certain metals in the AMD is very interesting to observe. This chapter covers the geography and ecology on Purun tikus, CW planted with Purun tikus, Role of purun tikus in a CW, Purun tikus seedlings, planting space, and growth in the CW system, potential of Purun tikus Fe accumulation in its tissues from AMD, and factors affecting the growth and accumulation of Fe by Purun tikus." @default.
