- W3113688926 abstract "The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the current state of many spheres of public life demonstrates the inability to effectively respond to critical situations caused by the spread of COVID-19. Legal relations in the field of labor have not become an exception and are in a state of fundamental change, which forms a new modern system of the labor market in Ukraine. The article describes the impact of the spread of COVID-19 on labor relations. Particular attention is paid to the manifestation of such negative phenomena as discrimination on the grounds of health, sex, race and nationality. It is noted that the dignity of the employee remains an inviolable value even in the context of restriction of certain rights and freedoms in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The article states that social stigma, where it allows for discrimination, can lead to a violation of the human right to a life free from discrimination, which is guaranteed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international and regional human rights treaties. Stigma and discrimination can significantly reduce the impact of COVID-19 countermeasures, as victims of stigma are more likely to avoid seeking medical attention, testing for the disease, and recognizing its symptoms. As a result, the state loses control of the pandemic. In addition, a coordinated and inclusive gender-sensitive needs assessment should be taken into account in the development and implementation of crisis management systems. It is concluded that in developing the legal framework for the regulation of labor relations in Ukraine, legal and practical measures should be taken to prevent and protect employees from discrimination on the grounds of their health and considered as a general and inviolable principle of legal regulation. The importance of taking into account the patterns and trends in the development of legal regulation of labor relations in the world in the reform of national labor legislation has been determined." @default.
