- W3117149464 abstract "Despite the advances in modern medicine, the problem of diagnosis and effective treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) remains relevant for practitioners.Objective. To study the effect of a mebicar (Adaptol) as part of the integrated therapy of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Materials and methods. In all patients were diagnosed GERD, the diagnosis confirmed by the endoscopy of the upper digestive tract. During the study patients were divided into 2 groups. The main group – 33 people (55%), who used the Adaptol (300 mg 3 times a day for 28 days) in the complex treatment of GERD, and the group of comparison – 27 persons (45%) who were prescribed traditional hereditary treatment. To assess the patients’ condition were used: Hamilton’s scale of anxiety, vegetative dysfunction questionnaire of O. Vein, «Feeling, Activity, Mood» questionnaire (FAM), Pain visual analog scale. The assessment of gastrointestinal disorders was performed according point 11 of the Hamilton scale of «Gastrointestinal symptoms». The assessment was conducted before the start, follow–up on the 14th and 30th day of treatment.Research results. Pain and emotional disturbances were one of the main symptoms of GERD, and there was a high level of anxiety among patients. Gastrointestinal symptoms were found in all patients, vegetative disorders - in the majority (91.67%). Patients in the process of treatment received a positive dynamics of all the symptoms, but in the treatment group (Adaptol), it was significantly more intense than in the comparison group. Improvement of patients’ well-being due to the FAM scale was also noted.Conclusions. The results of the comparative study confirm the positive effect of the Adaptol in the complex therapy of patients with GERD.
