- W3118554332 abstract "The Labor Code of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was promulgated on June 23, 1994. In the twenty-five years since, the Labor Code has been amended and supplemented five times―in 2002, 2006, 2007, 2012, and most recently, in 2019. Accompanying the Labor Code is the official decree document that explains how to implement the code. The country’s continuous review and revision of the document demonstrates its efforts to improve the legal institutions of the Vietnamese government, contributing to ensuring social security and other initiatives that are in the best interests and serve the rights of workers and employers. At the same time, Vietnam has employed innovative perspectives and ways to build the socialist-oriented market economy. This article summarizes the process followed for the development of the Labor Code from the first years when Vietnam began building a political institution and also presents the reasons behind the various amendments and supplements and the directions in which Vietnam was developing to ensure a comprehensive overview of the Vietnamese Labor Code." @default.
