Herein, N-doped porous carbon-supported ultra-small ZnS (ZnS/NPC‒X) were developed as photothermal catalysts for CO2 conversion by pyrolyzing the protein-Zn(II) network. The optimal catalyst ZnS/NPC‒2 possesses plenty of Lewis acid/base sites, hierarchical porous structure and high photothermal efficiency, jointly affording it high photothermally catalytic performance for CO2 cycloaddition and methylation reactions. This work provides a new strategy to prepare porous carbon-supported catalysts, which can find wide applications in photothermal catalysis." @default.
