- W3119434716 abstract "Hybrid solid dessiccant -vapor compression air conditioning system represents an alternative solution of the energy problem in the world. In this article, three configurations of this technology of refrigeration for a test room of cooling capacity 1.8 kW have been studied under hot and dry climate of Gabes. It is found that the configuration which consists of a dessiccant wheel coupled with conventional vapor compression system has the best COP equals to 2.48. Moreover, the sensitivity of the performance. the regeneration temperature to the various outdoor conditions have been evaluated. Results show that the increase of ambient temperature causes the increase of temperature of regeneration and the decrease of the coefficient of performance for different humidity ratio." @default.
