- W3120675274 abstract "The review of the literature considers the current understanding of scientists about the risk factors for the development of diseases of hard dental tissues in children. Dental caries is an important social problem of childhood in all countries of the world. The worldwide prevalence of this disease ranges from 25 % to 72 %. While, according to the WHO, the frequency and intensity of dental caries in children have been declining in a number of countries in recent decades, in Ukraine these rates remain high and tend to increase. Caries of temporary teeth ranks tenth among the most common diseases in the world. It is a multifactorial, diet-associated dental disease manifested by foci of demineralization. The etiology and pathogenesis of dental nosology are well studied and known. Despite this, tooth caries remains an important social problem among children in all countries of the world, and is often accompanied by serious impacts on the health of children and their families." @default.
